Waste Aware North East (WANE) Projects

The Regional Improvement and Efficiency Programme and Waste Aware North East are working together to develop a project that will: 

  • Help change the behaviours of schools, students and families towards Waste

  • Provide an information resource and framework for providing practical support to schools recycling schemes and the management of Waste

  • Develop effective promotion of the use of the Sustainable Schools Self Assessment Tool.

  • Develop a waste awareness campaign for North East schools

  • Develop a learning resource for North East Schools around waste and resource management.
