Waste Aware North East (WANE) Projects

Community Recycling Network North East (CRNNE)

The Waste Aware North East's Community Engagement Programme, seeks to both engage community groups in waste communication activities and encourage them to become involved in sustainable waste activities.
The aims of this programme are to;
- Use community groups as a mouth piece for sustainable waste messages within their communities
- Encourage community groups to start their own waste projects
To fully support the communty waste sector Waste Aware North East and partners including Groundwork North East have establish a Community Recycling Network North East (CRNNE). The CRNNE will benefit from its association with the national CRN UK as well as developing support services for North East community waste groups. The CRNNE will also look to engage other community groups in the region with an interest in looking at their own waste.
Full details of CRNNE can be found at www.crnne.org.uk
