


Resource efficiency makes sense for North East businesses and the environment. Businesses in the UK could save £6.4 billion* per year and help create and protect jobs by improving the way they use resources.
Waste Aware North East is a project with the aim of raising awareness of waste issues and recycling opportunities. The partnership brings together stakeholders from across the North East to work towards changing the way we think about waste and helping businesses to reduce the waste they produce, recycle more and reduce their disposal costs.
We work to promote positive waste messages across the region and encourage co-operation between partners on waste communications.
